Australian Business Startup is run by Enviga Pty Ltd (ABN 43 115 695 568) ("we", "us"). We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect through australianbusinessstartup.com.au and our newsletter, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your first name and email address. Our email service also records basic technical information, such as when you signed up, whether emails are delivered and opened, and which links are clicked. If you email us, we'll have whatever you choose to include in your message.
We don't ask for sensitive information, and we don't collect payment details through this website.
Why we collect it and how we use it

- To send you our newsletter and occasional updates about the Australian Business Startup community.
- To understand which content is useful, so we can make the newsletter better.
- To reply to you if you contact us.
We only email you because you've asked us to. Every email identifies us and includes an unsubscribe link, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Who we share it with
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information.
We use Sender.net, an email marketing service provided by UAB Sender.lt, based in Lithuania (European Union), to store our subscriber list and send our emails. Sender.net processes your information on our behalf and under our instructions. This means your name and email address are stored and processed outside Australia. Sender.net is subject to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We take reasonable steps to make sure the providers we use protect your information.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Unsubscribing
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by emailing us at admin@australianbusinessstartup.com.au. We'll stop sending you newsletters promptly, and in any case within 5 business days.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may keep a record of your email address so we don't email you again by mistake. You can ask us to delete your details entirely.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including using a reputable email provider and protecting our accounts with strong passwords and multi-factor authentication.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our sign-up form, provided by Sender.net, may use cookies or similar technology needed to make the form work and to prevent spam sign-ups.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Just email us and we'll respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
